It is the customers' responsibility to confirm the product will comply with their state, county or city codes. If you will be receiving an inspection by a county or city inspector, please ask them what they require.
The unit must be installed by a licensed plumber and electrician, or it will void the warranty of the unit from the manufacturer. The purchaser of the steam shower accepts full responsibility and liability for its proper use, operation, and installation. This unit is not to be used for commercial purposes.
Assembly & Installation
All steam showers require assembly. Assembly generally takes 6–8 hours, and the unit must be installed by a licensed plumber and electrician (or it will void the warranty of the unit from the manufacturer). Your steam shower will be delivered on a pallet(s) using a larger truck, such as a semi-truck; all units are delivered to fit through standard doorways 24” wide or larger.
What is "Free Standing Installation"?
Steam showers are designed to be free-standing; in other words, they do not attach to the wall. The free-standing design allows you to move the steam shower out if you ever need to access the equipment or plumbing.
Equipment/Maintenance: Do I need an access panel?
The steam showers are designed to be free-standing units so that in case of an issue behind the unit, you can easily slide the unit away from the wall for access. The plumbing and the electrical connections are flexible so that you can easily make this happen. If at all possible, an access panel is a terrific option in case of any future issues.
Although an access panel is recommended, our steam showers have rubber feet on the bottom of the shower pan that allows you to move the shower in or out of place; eliminating the need for an equipment access panel. Some models also have removable interior control panels that allow you to access the equipment from inside the shower.
Does the unit come in one piece or in panels?
Can I fit the parts through a standard doorway?

Water drain: "Where is the drain located"?
Mesa includes a flexible drain hose to help you get the job done faster and easier, with professional grade durability and more versatility than traditional corrugated pipe. Flexible and expandable, it easily bends around any obstacle, hold its shape during installation and with a simple snap, its integrated soil-tight fittings lock securely and stay connected during backfilling.
What does this mean to you?
You can pretty much put your drain anywhere you want. All of our units come with a pre-cut drain and flexible hose. This means you are now able to put your drain or steam shower anywhere you want!!
Plumbing requirements (HOT/COLD Connections, ETL, etc)
There is no special water or drain requirements for steam shower kits. Steam showers require a standard ½ inch hot and cold supply line. The drain requires either a 1.5" tub drain or 2" standard shower drain (depending on model).
How many HOT/COLD Connections are required?
Regardless of the number of shower heads, all units have one HOT/COLD connection.
Where is the HOT/COLD Connection located?
The connection is located behind the shower hot/cold controls which differ per unit. Normally the hot/cold is about 30" from the floor on the back of the unit. Flex hoses are included for easy hookups no matter where your current hot/cold is located. Refer to the listing page of each steam shower for the exact location which can be seen in the diagrams towards the bottom of the page.

Water pressure & flow rates
Steam showers require a minimum water pressure of 30 PSI to have a good flow rate from each of the shower components. The maximum GPM (gallons per minute) output of the steam shower components is between 2.0 and 2.5 GPM depending on the model.

What does the inline heat pump do?
The inline Heat Pump is attached to the water pump, and the heat pump will maintain the water temperature in the tub portion of the unit. The heater is designed to maintain the temperature of the water inside the tub as long as the jets are running. This eliminates the need to continually add warm water to the tub.

Can it be used as a regular shower?
Yes, the 701A can be used like a standard shower. You can turn the steam on or off using the control panel.

Steam showers will reach temperatures of 115° - 120° F

All steam showers and tubs carry a (7) seven-year structural warranty against manufacturer defects and should be installed by a licensed plumber and electrician. The structural warranty protects the structure of the steam shower from peeling, fading, delaminating, or cracking. Structural components include acrylic panels, shower pan, ceiling, and glass panels. All steam shower parts carry a (1) one-year guarantee against defects.
~ Mesa Steam Showers carries most replacement parts in stock and will arrange for a spare part to be delivered to you if necessary. To request replacement parts or pieces, please use our Parts and Pieces Form to submit your details.

You can return all non-Clearance items purchased within 30 days from the date the item is delivered. The item(s) cannot be previously installed, and must be in new and resaleable condition. This includes the original packaging, manuals, accessories, original crate, etc.
